"Squatter" - The "Squatter" is named after the schooner Squatter that shipwrecked off Port Fairy, 3rd June, 1846. The Squatter was enroute from Melbourne to Portland when the tragedy occurred. Fortunately, the crew and passengers made safe passage to shore. Cottages by the Sea has been built across from the location the 'Squatter' shipwrecked.
